pH test for fresh and salt water aquarium
pH test for fresh and salt water aquarium. The pH is measured on a numerical scale from 0 to 14, with 7 as the neutral point. Values less than 7 indicate acidity, and values greater than 7 indicate alkalinity. This test is indicated to check the pH of salt or fresh water within the alkaline pH range, such as those of marine fish or African Cichlids aquariums.
Feeding Guide
1) Fill the aquarium water to be tested up to the mark 1 of the test tube.
2) Keeping the reagent bottle in vertical position, add 4 drops of the reagent solution, cover the test tube and shake briefly.
3) After 2 minutes, try to match the developed color in the test tube with the one of the colors scale. Place the open test tube against the white circle and observe from above.
Comments:
- For the accuracy of the result, it is essential to maintain the same size between the drops, hence the importance of carrying out the test with the reagent bottle in a vertical position.
- After each test, clean the test tube and keep it capped.
- Always keep the reagent bottle tightly closed.
